This park was dedicated in 1957 and became a favorite swimming and picnicing spot. The City of Nanaimo built a trail that goes around the lake hugging the shoreline and actually extending out over the lake using a beautiful boardwalk.

Westwood lake is 10 minutes from Departure Bay ferry, and only 20minutes
from Duke Point Ferry.

College, Serauxman Stadium, Jingle Pot Pub, the Aquatic centre, Beban Park
recreational centre and of course close to Nanaimo itself with its abundant
attractions and nightlife.

Activities You Can Do

MOUNTAIN BIKING
Nestled in the spectacular Mount Benson area,
Westwood Lake Campgrounds makes the ideal
base camp for mountain bike adventure. With a
hot, dry climate and hundreds of kilometres of
trails spidering from the park there is something
for every level of cyclist.

NATURE TRAILS AND ACTIVITIES AT THE LAKE
Over the last few summers, many guests have
relax on the sandy beaches and swam in the
refreshing clear water at the Westwood Lake.
Others have simply enjoyed casual walks around
the 6.5 km nature trail, which start with an
informative overview map of the local trails.

FISHING
As mentioned into our name, we are conviniently
located close by the shores of Westwood Lake,
which have the reputation for pan-size Rainbow
Trout, Cut Throat Trout and Bass.

HIKING
Whether you are looking for a scenic stroll or
a challenging coastal hike, Westwood Lake

BOAT RENTALS
Canoeing westwood lake is an experience of
