It has been dubbed the "Bathtub Racing Capital of the World" and "Harbour City".Nanaimo is also sometimes referred to as the "Hub City" because of its central location on Vancouver Island and due to the layout of the downtown streets which form a "hub" pattern.

Victoria Harbour

The Inner Harbour in Victoria BC is centred around the marina located on the bottom walkway where the docks swing back and forth tied up with yachts, sail boats and water taxis. Looking up from the Inner Harbour walkway near the marina are the many historic buildings, floral displays, waterfront attractions and the Parliament Buildings keeping watch over Victoria BC.
